Kendall College baking and pastry students, led by instructor Siddarth Mangalore, had a “sweet” time at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago’s World of Chocolate 2010. Held at the Hilton Chicago on December 2 to commemorate World AIDS Day, the event netted nearly $200,000 to support HIV/AIDS public education, policy and grant-making programs.
The students prepared chocolate pastries, confections, candies and sculptures for the 1,200 guests that attended the ninth-annual event. Chocolate showpieces featured the theme of the evening, highlighting slogans of “Stop AIDS” and “Change the Story.”
