All entrepreneurs and small business owners encounter a number of critical legal issues as they open or expand their companies. Learn more about the legal decisions you’ll have to make as you set up your business, identify your customers and suppliers and protect yourself from liability. This workshop will be led by Northwestern School of Law students who have worked with many entrepreneurs and small business owners on a wide range of legal issues.

I recently came across your post and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my
first comment. I don’t know what to say except that it caught my interest and you’ve
provided informative points. I will visit this blog often.
Thank you,

I find the discussion of intellectual property rights REALLY interesting. As an educator, I have no problem with the lessons and teaching devices that I create belonging to my employer. I simply want to make sure that the other business work that I do on my own time (Mobile Alabama Business Directory or Haley Networking) is mine. As long as I don’t work on my personal business at my school, my presumption is that it belongs to me. Yes?
Many small businesses don’t get enough liability insurance and when something does go wrong you will wish you had it. There needs to be more awareness for business owners. Many people that work from their homes may also be violating city bylaws and not even know it.
